A reimagined job-hunting platform that feels warm, colorful, and human.
SCS (Star Constellation Search) turns the traditional, formal job search into a playful, uplifting experience. Built in Figma, it blends imagination, design detail, and emotion to make career exploration feel inspiring rather than intimidating.
Designing a Job Platform That Feels Like a Fresh Start
I wanted to challenge how job sites look and feel. Most platforms are serious and gray, but finding a job can also be an exciting, hopeful journey. SCS was designed to capture that feeling, using soft colors, personality, and motion to remind users that opportunity can feel bright, not pressured.
Creating a Friendly Space for Exploration
At the center of SCS is Estrella, the user we follow through her job search. She scrolls through creative posts, likes projects, and applies directly from the feed, all while surrounded by soft gold and pink tones inspired by stars. This small storytelling detail makes the experience feel personal, as if we’re watching someone find her own constellation of possibilities.
Building Playfulness Through Real Intention
Using Figma, I designed every screen to feel alive through subtle interactions and smooth animations. Users can view posts, press “Apply,” and even upload their resume in a pop-up inspired by Apple’s clean modal design. I incorporated my “Mode Miu Miu” project in the feed as an Easter egg, tying my creative world together in one cohesive experience.
Design Motion That Feels Alive
To make the interface expressive, I used components, variants, and Smart Animate to build real-time motion. Estrella’s spinning profile icon adds a touch of delight, while transitions between screens create a polished, app-like flow. Everything, from hover effects to micro-interactions, was designed to feel calm yet dynamic.
A Constellation of Opportunity
The final concept is a soft, star-themed job platform where creativity meets clarity. Every detail, the color palette, icons, and gentle motion, reflects warmth and optimism. Users can browse, apply, and connect in a space that feels supportive, not stressful.
Design With Emotion
SCS reminded me that UX design isn’t just about usability, it’s about emotion. I learned how visual tone, animation, and narrative can completely reshape how users feel while using a product. This project taught me how to make functionality feel human, and how even a small prototype can tell a bigger story.
